Fake News of Bollywood Actor Dharmendra Singh’s Death in the Media

A claim alleging that Bollywood legend Dharmendra Singh Deol passed away while receiving treatment has been circulating in domestic media outlets since 10 November. The claim has also spread widely across social media platforms.

See the reports published in the media outlets: Ekattor TV, Zoom Bangla, Shomoyer Alo, NewsBangla24, Dhaka Times, Shomoyer Konthoshor, Karatoya, Rupali Bangladesh, Khobor Shongjog and Protifolon.

Prothom Alo, Kaler Kantho, Ittefaq, Samakal, Jamuna TV, BanglaVision, Ekkhon TV, Independent TV, and Protidin’s Sangbad also published reports making the same claim but later removed them.

Rumor Scanner Team’s investigation reveals that the claim regarding the death of Bollywood actor Dharmendra Singh Deol is false. Based on reports from family members, his physical condition is currently stable and has improved compared to before.

In the investigation of the discussed claim, a post published on the Instagram account of Dharmendra Singh Deol’s daughter, Esha Deol, was found, where she expressed outrage over the media circulating false news of her father’s death. In the post, she stated that Dharmendra Singh’s physical condition is currently stable and is improving.

Subsequently, a post published on the X (formerly Twitter) account of Dharmendra Singh’s wife and Esha Deol’s mother, Hema Malini, also expressed frustration over the circulation of false information in the media.

Therefore, the information circulating with the claim that Bollywood’s legendary actor Dharmendra Singh Deol has passed away is completely false.
