Jeffrey Epstein was a wealthy American investor and convicted sex offender. Utilizing high-level connections built with influential people, he was involved in the sexual abuse and trafficking of teenage girls. In 2019, he was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges in the United States. However, before the judicial process could begin, his hanging body was recovered from a New York jail. Epstein’s death sparked widespread global debate and various conspiracy theories about whether it was suicide or homicide. Later, the US Department of Justice officially stated that Epstein committed suicide.
Epstein-related documents had been released in limited scope at various times before. However, under the ‘Epstein Files Transparency Act’ in 2026, the US Department of Justice released the largest scope of documents to date. It includes nearly 3.5 million pages of documents, over two thousand videos, and nearly one hundred eighty thousand photos. This massive database related to Epstein is known as the ‘Epstein Files’. After the release of these documents, discussion and criticism began worldwide. Centering the Epstein files, a photo combining pictures of two children and a teenager is being claimed on social media as — these photos are included in the Epstein Files and are related to the Epstein Files.

The Rumor Scanner team’s investigation reveals that the three circulated photos are not related to the Epstein Files; rather, photos of different incidents are being combined and circulated with the discussed claim.
Observing the matter, a child’s hand is seen taped to a table. Investigating the photo, it is known that it has no relation to the Epstein Files issue; rather, it is a photo from the 2016 Pizzagate conspiracy.Subsequently, Rumor Scanner investigated the remaining two photos. Through investigation, a report titled “Teenager was raped four times a day by dad and gave birth to his baby at 13” published on November 1, 2019, on the website of UK media outlet Metro was found. Two photos in that report match the other two photos in the discussed posts
From the report, it is known that a man named Shane Clifton in Derbyshire, England, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for raping his own daughter, Shannon Clifton, and causing a miscarriage.
One of the photos in the report is of Shane Clifton with his daughter Shannon Clifton in her childhood, and the other photo is of Shannon Clifton at the age of 19.
Multiple media outlets including BBC, The Sun, and Daily Mirror have published the same photo.
That is, the other two circulated photos are also not related to the Epstein Files issue.
Therefore, three photos from two old and different incidents are being combined and circulated with the claim that they are related to the Epstein Files issue; which is completely false.
