Video of school girl’s clothes pulled from van while skating is scripted

Recently, a video has been circulated on social media showing a young man skating and pulling the clothes of a schoolgirl sitting in a van in front of him. It is being claimed that, “In the past 16 years, no one dared to publicly strip a girl on the streets. The nation did not have to witness such a cruel and horrific scene. But now, under the magic of international player Yunus, the country is stripped bare, and its people are weeping.”

Fact-check
Rumor Scanner’s investigation revealed that the video claiming to show a schoolgirl’s clothes being pulled while skating is not a real incident; rather, it was made for entertainment purposes. Facing criticism, the creator has apologized and removed the video.
During the investigation, the appearance of the young man and the alleged school student in the viral video was found to match several videos (1, 2) from a TikTok account named ‘Rakib skating vlog’. No detailed information was mentioned in the captions of those videos.

Upon reviewing the TikTok account, it was observed that similar skating videos are regularly posted there. In one video, the “girl” is seen sitting on the back of an elderly man’s bicycle. The young man skates up and carries “her” away. After a while, the elderly man acts out a scene of grief over losing the girl and starts searching for her. In another video, the young man tries to propose to the “girl” on the street with a flower, at which point the girl kicks him down. These videos clearly indicate that they are staged performances.
Amidst the discussion regarding this issue, a video was found on the Facebook profile of Wasek Billah Nomani, the founding director of a madrasa in Netrokona. The video features a statement from the young man seen skating. The youth, named Rakib, claims that he made the viral video for entertainment purposes. He stated that the person seen as a girl is actually a boy. He mentioned, “If you look closely at the video, you will see that the boy was wearing shorts up to his knees.”
Rakib admitted that making the video was a mistake and has removed the original video from his page.
Rumor Scanner’s investigation also found that Rakib’s original [suspicious link removed] has been deactivated.
Therefore, a scripted video of a schoolgirl’s clothes being pulled from a van while skating, created for entertainment, is being circulated as a real incident; the claim is false.
