Fact Check

The Rumor Scanner team’s investigation reveals that the video circulated with the claim is not from a real incident. In fact, it is footage from a Somali series titled CILAAJ.

Investigating the discussed video, the same video was seen being broadcast on August 5, 2025, on a YouTube channel named Nasiye. However, no detailed information related to the video was found there.

Subsequently, by reviewing that YouTube channel, multiple videos of the same place and the same person were found. See some such videos here, here, and here. Therefore, video footage of a series has been circulated with the claim of being a scene showing Muslim women kept superstitious in Somalia; which is completely false.
