In reality, an old video depicting an incident where a child set fire to a supermarket in the city of Nilüfer, in Turkey’s Bursa province, has been circulated alongside this claim.
An investigation into this claim led to a report featuring the same video, published on the website of the Turkish media outlet Demirören Haber Ajansi on November 14, 2025.
The report states that the incident involved a fire at a supermarket located on Fatih Sultan Mehmet Road in the city of Nilüfer, Bursa province, Turkey. A review of the extended version of the video footage within the report shows the child entering the shop, tearing off the price tag from the tissue rack, lighting it on fire, and then walking away. The fire is subsequently seen spreading to the tissue papers stocked in that area.
Furthermore, the report notes that the police identified the accused child by reviewing the video footage and subsequently tracked them down. The report also mentions that appropriate actions have been taken against the child and their family in connection with this incident.
