Recently, a video has been circulated on social media. In the video, a section of the Udichi Shilpi Gosthi is seen chanting slogans. When the video was circulated, the attached caption claimed that they were chanting “Joy Modiji” in exchange for receiving donations from India.

Fact-check
The Rumor Scanner team’s investigation found that the claim of Udichi Shilpi Gosthi chanting the slogan “Joy Modiji” is not true. In fact, they were saying “Joy Udichi” in the video. The claim originated from a page that posted it as sarcasm, stating “Joy Modiji,” from which the claim then spread.
At the beginning of the investigation, the discussed photocard was observed, which shows the logo of the mainstream media outlet Prothom Alo and the publication date as December 21, 2025. Following this lead, the photocards circulated on Prothom Alo’s Facebook page were observed, but no photocard with such a headline was found. Additionally, no news regarding this claim was found on Prothom Alo’s website or any other media outlet.
In the investigation of this matter, a photocard published on December 22 by a Facebook page named Dhormandho was found. This photocard is similar to the one being circulated. The photocard says, “Udichi Shilpi Gosthi slogans Joy Modiji after receiving donations from India”. However, in the comment section of the same post, the page itself clearly mentioned that the slogan was “Udichi,” not “Modiji”. Later, the post was circulated on social media as true. Upon observing the Facebook page named ‘Dhormandho’, it was seen that the page mostly publishes various satirical posts (1, 2).
In further investigation of this matter, the original video was found on the Facebook page Satkahon News. In the video, a section of the artist group is heard chanting “Joy Udichi,” and when one side calls the other side agents (dalal), the other side protests. According to the video caption, it is a scene of a commotion between two factions of the Udichi Shilpi Gosthi.
Furthermore, no information or news supporting the circulated claim was found in any media or reliable source.
Therefore, the claim that Udichi Shilpi Gosthi is chanting “Joy Modiji” is false.
